 5/29/2008 - Members of the Saginaw, Michigan Club showed off hand puppets during a special tour of the Mid-Michigan Children's Museum. The Mid-Michigan Children's Museum opened Sunday, June 1, 2008. During the planning and construction phase, Saginaw Altrusans set aside money each budget year to assist with a special project. The Club has plans to maintain the puppets and books as an ongoing service endeavor.

 5/29/2008 - District Ten Conference attendees volunteered their time to repack beans for family boxes at the "Altrusa founded and sponsored" Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico. The Food Bank serves nine counties covering approximately 20,000 square miles in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas. The Food Bank has two refrigerated trucks that deliver commodities, bread, pastry and produce into 42 volunteer sites that in turn distribute the food to the local families in need.

 1/14/2008 - Altrusa International of Yaquina Bay is working to improve dental health in Lincoln County through a project called, "Something to Smile About". With a vision of providing access to dental services for children living in poverty and educating children about proper dental care, Altrusa is distributing dental kits to every student in the Lincoln County School District.

 11/27/2007 - Six Hot Springs Village, Arkansas Altrusans and two spouses went to Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Little Rock to assemble Disaster Kits. Ferncliff is one of the fastest growing Presbyterian camps and retreat facilities in the country.

We are always looking for new photos to add to the web
site.
Please send us any photos related to Altrusa activities that you may
have. Don't
worry about their size as we will automatically resize them
and create thumbnails. We will also select the best ones for
rotation on the home page, so be sure to make them all count!
We can only accept digital photographs, as we don't
have the staff to scan printed photos.
Please send all pictures, along with a caption
describing them to
photos@altrusa.com. |

When sending us photos please keep the following in mind:
Caption - Include a short caption of the event and
the names of the people in the picture.
Date - We need a date that the picture was taken.
Photographer's Name - So we can credit them.
