Altrusa Interntional, Inc. of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada presented a local elementary school with 47 dozen home baked muffins for the children as part of their 'Feed A Reader' project for Make A Difference Day.

Montrose, Colorado Altrusans provided 25 buddy bags, 30 children’s books, 8 adult easy readers and 3 children’s notebooks to the adult education center that serves Montrose and Olathe. In addition to, Altrusa’s signature Buddy Bags, dictionaries, books and supplies were gathered and delivered to the Adult Basic Education Program. The project goal was to enhance the program's children's room and to give the teachers something else to read in class as a group.

Altrusa International of Wausau, WI, observed its 70th anniversary of service to the Wausau area recently. Also offering congrulations were State Rep. Donna Seidel and Marathon County Administrator Brad Karger shown with Gayle Tesch. Eleven past presidents of the club were among the guests at the event which included violin music by Robin McDowell of the Wausau Conservatory of Music during the social hour, dinner, a video of past Altrusa events and recollections of 1939.
